Evelyn is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University (2010) with a B.A. in Music, with an emphasis in Vocal Performance and Worship Arts.
She has been teaching piano and voice lessons since September 2010. She is an active member of the Seattle Music Teachers Association (SMTA) a branch of the National Music Teachers Association (MTNA). She also is the general music teacher for Applied Scholastics Academy of Seattle, teaching children ages 5-12 the fun and fundamentals of music.
Evelyn enjoys teaching all ages and levels and seeing others succeed! She is passionate about piano and voice and believes that teaching others to find joy in music is most important! Evelyn specializes in teaching classical and contemporary styles, along with music theory.
Evelyn has also had plenty of experience performing as a singer and accompanist. She has accompanied several voice students at Seattle Pacific during her undergraduate education. Vocally, she is currently serving at St. Alphonsus Parish as a staff cantor, and performs in various musicals and operettas in the Seattle area each year.
Evelyn has been playing piano and singing for many years yet she also enjoys continuing to learn and is working to receive an M.A. in Music Education in the coming years.
